The employee in this senior management position provides management and leadership to critical, mandated (i.e., Adult Protective Services and Public Guardianship) and supporting programs (i.e., Case Management, Home Care, health/nursing assessment and care planning). The work involves the provision of a high level of leadership support and administrative oversight to ensure compliance with State regulations and program requirements and to maintain the overall quality of high profile, legally mandated and essential services to frail elderly and vulnerable adults with disabilities. The employee administers a $6 million budget and directs a staff of 57 (WYs) providing direct and support services. The employee in this position is also responsible for coordinating State appeals such as formal citizen complaints contesting adverse actions resulting in decreases in service provision.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in health and human (social) services in a government or nonprofit organization delivering an array of home and community based services (e.g.,. Adult Protective Services/Guardianship, Case Management, Home Care/Personal Care, Respite Care, Medical Assistance Waivers), three (3) years of which were in a supervisory or executive capacity. Equivalency applies.
